Part-Time Admin & Finance Support Officer – Kisumu Children Trust (UK)
Location: Kisumu (Hybrid: home/office)
Working Hours: Part-time (Approx. 15 hours/week)
Contract: Permanent, self-employed or employed
Start Date: To be arranged
Salary: To be agreed (plus expenses)
General Purpose
To enhance the UK work of Kisumu Children Trust through timely and efficient administrative and financial support, especially in donor relations, bookkeeping, and sponsorship coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update Donor Perfect database (GDPR compliant).
- Send monthly prayer letters, quarterly newsletters; manage mailing lists.
- Acknowledge donations promptly; manage income records and banking.
- Handle Gift Aid claims and produce regular income analysis reports.
- Seek new sponsors and maintain relationships with current sponsors.
- Assist with events and exhibitions for fundraising when necessary.
- Manage insurance documentation and upload documents to cloud storage.
Skills and Qualities Required
- A committed Christian aligned with the mission of Kisumu Children Trust.
- Organised, thorough, and prompt in handling tasks.
- Comfortable using modern software tools, databases, spreadsheets, and email systems.
- Good communicator with attention to detail and a heart for children and development work.
Accountability
Reports to the Chair (Peter) and Treasurer (Jonathan) for financial matters.
