Among the key projects is the construction of the Lake Victoria Ring Road, which will enhance connectivity across the counties bordering the lake. Additionally, the government has allocated Ksh 1.45 billion for the establishment of 10 fish landing sites in Kisumu, Siaya, Migori, Homa Bay, and Busia counties to boost the local fishing industry.
The affordable housing initiative is also progressing in Kisumu, Siaya, and Homa Bay, with Kisumu's skyline transforming as new units rise. In Alego Usonga, a project to build 882 housing units is currently employing 230 workers and is expected to be completed within 18 months.
