In a rare display of extravagance, a man from Kisumu left locals stunned after hiring an entire passenger bus to take only himself and his girlfriend to Nairobi. Witnesses say the man had recently sold a piece of land and decided to “travel in style.”
The bus, usually meant to ferry dozens of passengers, departed Kisumu with just three people onboard — the man, his girlfriend, and the driver.
Photos and videos shared online show the couple comfortably seated in the empty vehicle, with some locals watching in disbelief as the bus pulled away from the station.
“He said he wanted peace and privacy,” a witness said. “I guess he figured if you have the money, why not?”
While some residents praised the man for spoiling his partner, others questioned the practicality of such a move. Still, one thing is certain — the journey will be remembered for a long time.
