Administrative Officer (Training Support)
The CEMA at the University of Nairobi seeks to appoint a dedicated Administrative Officer (Training Support) with a passion for health research and strong organizational skills. This role involves providing administrative and logistical support for CEMA's research and training activities.
Position Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, organizing, and executing training sessions, workshops, or seminars
- Coordinate with internal/external trainers, participants, and stakeholders
- Handle logistical aspects including travel and accommodation arrangements
- Prepare training materials and handouts
- Maintain accurate records of training sessions and participant feedback
- Manage CEMA's training schedules and communications
- Serve as point of contact for trainers and stakeholders
- Prepare reports on training activities and outcomes
- Support training evaluation processes
- Provide general administrative support to the team
Position Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or equivalent
- At least two (2) years' administrative experience
- Experience in health research capacity-building projects
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent planning, organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently
- Collaborative team player in diverse environments
