Driver Position - Entry Level Opportunity
Position Overview
This is the entry and training grade for the Driver cadre. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient transportation of staff and goods, while maintaining vehicle integrity and adhering to traffic regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive NCPWD vehicles as per authorized duties
- Conduct routine vehicle checks before/after trips
- Identify and report mechanical faults
- Maintain accurate vehicle records (mileage, fuel, maintenance)
- Ensure safety of vehicle, passengers, and goods
- Keep vehicle clean and in good condition
- Comply with all traffic laws and regulations
- Report incidents/accidents promptly
Qualifications
- KCSE D+ or equivalent
- Valid driving license
- Trade Test for Drivers Grade III
- First-Aid Certificate Course (minimum 1 week)
- Fulfilled Chapter Six of the Constitution requirements
Remuneration Package
- Basic Salary: KES 18,783 – 24,072
- House Allowance: Based on deployment location
- Commuter Allowance: KES 4,000
- Medical Cover: As per Council's medical scheme
