Job Opportunity: Waiter/Waitress
Job Brief:
A client is looking for a skilled Waiter or Waitress to take orders and deliver food and beverages to customers. The right person will uplift the dining experience with patience, personality, and perseverance. You should be polite, a team player, and able to work in fast-paced environments.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and escort customers to their tables
- Present menus and provide detailed food information
- Prepare and arrange tables
- Offer menu recommendations and upsell when suitable
- Take food and drink orders using POS or order slips
- Verify customer IDs for alcohol service
- Serve meals and beverages accurately and promptly
- Maintain clean dining area and table settings
- Deliver checks and handle payments
- Follow all health department regulations
Requirements & Skills:
- Work experience as a Waiter or Waitress is an added advantage
- Familiarity with POS systems (e.g., Revel POS, Toast POS)
- Basic math skills and strong communication
- Team spirit, patience, and attentiveness
- Good presentation and multitasking abilities
- Flexibility to work in shifts
- High school diploma; food safety training is a plus
