Role Overview
The Communications Specialist will support Aflatoun’s global communications efforts — working under the Communications Manager to promote the organization’s mission and activities. This includes digital media, public relations, internal communications, and partner engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and manage content for social media, newsletters, and campaigns
- Support PR and outreach to global education and development networks
- Coordinate branding and messaging consistency across platforms
- Collaborate with programme teams to highlight success stories and impact
- Track and report on communications metrics
Requirements
- 2+ years in communications, journalism, content marketing, or PR
- Proven storytelling, editing and design skills
- Familiar with NGO or global education environments
- Fluent in English (French/Spanish a plus)
- Based in Africa with stable internet connection
