Position: Shelf Stocker
Job Overview
The Shelf Stocker is responsible for maintaining an orderly, efficient, and clean retail environment by ensuring that all shelves are fully stocked with the appropriate merchandise. The individual must follow all safety protocols and stocking procedures to ensure that products are handled and displayed correctly.
This opportunity is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about retail, enjoy working in dynamic environments, and are passionate about providing a clean and well-stocked shopping experience for customers.
Key Qualifications and Skills Required
Minimum Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a retail, grocery, or stockroom setting is an added advantage but not mandatory.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Kiswahili.
Technical Skills:
- Basic numeracy skills for counting and verifying stock quantities.
- Familiarity with shelf-stocking procedures.
- Competence in operating standard POS checkout systems and self-checkout machines.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and move for long periods during work shifts.
- Capability to lift and move products weighing up to 25 kilograms.
- Comfortable working in varied temperature environments including cold storage areas.
