Main Purpose of the Job
To support the claims process by preparing and verifying claim documents and assisting with patient billing issues. This role ensures documentation is complete and accurate for timely claims submission and to prevent rejections.
Key Deliverables
- 100% accuracy of insurance and credit documentation before service delivery.
- Minimized claim rejections through proactive checks and SOP adherence.
- Timely claims submission and effective coordination between departments.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Diploma in Accounts, Business Administration, Health Records, or related field
Desirable:
- CPA training
Experience & Skills
Essential:
- 1–2 years in a medical billing or revenue cycle role
Desirable:
- Understanding of Kenyan medical insurance systems (SHA/SHIF, private insurers)
Key Competencies
- Knowledge of EMR systems and billing software
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Works well under pressure
