Front Office Receptionist – Avenue Healthcare
Job Objective / Purpose:
Manage the reception professionally at all times and ensure that all visitors, patients, and clients are accorded timely, professional, and compassionate service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and assist patients with registration and ensure forms and documentation are complete and accurate.
- Process admissions and discharges.
- Communicate with insurance companies for pre-authorization and verification.
- Follow internal procedures for various client categories (staff, insurance, prepaid).
- Manage and transfer incoming telephone calls appropriately.
- Ensure client satisfaction through excellent service and feedback follow-up.
- Comply with Avenue Healthcare governance policies and report fraud or malpractice.
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Any other duty as assigned by the supervisor.
Person Specification
- Diploma in Front Office, Business Administration, Health Records, or equivalent.
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Strong customer focus, responsiveness, and results-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Team player, highly ethical, and responsible.
