Vacancy: Housekeeper – Hotel in Kisumu CBD
Our client, a well-established and reputable hotel located in the heart of Kisumu CBD, is looking to hire a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation in all guest and public areas.
The ideal candidate is meticulous, proactive, and passionate about creating a clean and welcoming environment for guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of guest rooms, corridors, and common areas
- Report maintenance issues and follow up for timely resolution
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and amenities
- Handle laundry duties including washing, ironing, and folding linen
- Comply with hotel health, safety, and hygiene policies
- Provide professional and courteous service to all guests
- Work with the front office and maintenance teams for smooth operations
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum KCPE/KCSE certificate
- 1 year of experience in a busy hotel or hospitality environment will be added advantage
- Familiarity with modern cleaning techniques, tools, and safety procedures
- High attention to detail and cleanliness standards
- Physically fit and able to be on your feet for long hours
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Honest, dependable, and able to work independently
- Willing to work shifts, including weekends and holidays
