Our client, a well-established and reputable hotel located in the heart of Kisumu CBD, is looking to hire a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation in all guest and public areas.

The ideal candidate is meticulous, proactive, and passionate about creating a clean and welcoming environment for guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of guest rooms, corridors, and common areas
  • Report maintenance issues and follow up for timely resolution
  • Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and amenities
  • Handle laundry duties including washing, ironing, and folding linen
  • Comply with hotel health, safety, and hygiene policies
  • Provide professional and courteous service to all guests
  • Work with the front office and maintenance teams for smooth operations

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum KCPE/KCSE certificate
  • 1 year of experience in a busy hotel or hospitality environment will be added advantage
  • Familiarity with modern cleaning techniques, tools, and safety procedures
  • High attention to detail and cleanliness standards
  • Physically fit and able to be on your feet for long hours
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Honest, dependable, and able to work independently
  • Willing to work shifts, including weekends and holidays
