👥 Human Resource Assistant Job – Kisumu
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Human Resource Assistant to join our fast-paced team in Kisumu. The ideal candidate will have 2–4 years of HR experience, especially in settings with 50–200 employees. You should be confident working independently and managing HR processes across multiple teams.
📋 Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily HR operations and ensure compliance with labour laws and policies.
- Manage the entire employee life cycle – recruitment, onboarding, appraisals, and exits.
- Handle grievances, performance issues, and disciplinary actions fairly and promptly.
- Coordinate accurate payroll inputs and statutory deductions.
- Track HR metrics – absenteeism, turnover, training sessions, and productivity reports.
- Support training and development initiatives with department heads.
- Ensure full compliance with NSSF, NHIF, PAYE, and labour laws.
- Maintain up-to-date employee records and HR files.
- Promote positive staff relations and act as a liaison with leadership.
✅ Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CHRP or Higher Diploma in HR is an added advantage.
- 2–4 years HR experience, ideally in a busy or industrial work setting.
- Familiarity with managing 50–200 staff across functions.
- Strong understanding of Kenyan labour law and HR compliance.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS tools.
- High integrity, emotional intelligence, and problem-solving skills.
