Kitchen Helper – Braeburn Kisumu
Job Purpose
To support the kitchen and catering team in maintaining efficient food preparation, cleanliness, and hygiene standards, ensuring smooth operations for Braeburn’s dining services.
Key Responsibilities
- Food Preparation: Wash, peel, chop, and portion ingredients as directed.
- Assist with basic cooking under supervision (e.g. boiling, grilling).
- Cleaning: Maintain hygiene of kitchen equipment, utensils, and surfaces.
- Dispose waste properly and follow hygiene protocols.
- Stock Handling: Assist in receiving/storing ingredients and reporting shortages.
- Service Support: Help plate and serve meals, clean dining areas.
- Teamwork: Follow instructions and support a clean, safe kitchen environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience in a busy kitchen or catering setup.
- Basic food handling and sanitation knowledge.
- Food hygiene certification is an advantage.
- Physically fit for manual work and long hours on feet.
- Reliable, punctual, and a good team player.
