Job Summary
The Restaurant Store Keeper manages inventory, storage, and cleanliness, ensuring food, beverages, and supplies are properly stored, recorded, and issued. They support kitchen operations, follow food safety standards, and help reduce waste through effective stock control.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Receive and inspect all incoming deliveries of food, beverages, and supplies.
- Ensure proper documentation of receipts, invoices, and stock records.
- Store items using FIFO (First In, First Out) and according to safety standards.
- Monitor inventory levels; report shortages or damages.
- Conduct regular stock checks and audits.
- Issue supplies to staff based on approved requisitions.
- Ensure storage areas are clean, organized, and pest-free.
- Update inventory systems and stock records.
- Coordinate with suppliers on deliveries and discrepancies.
- Comply with all food safety and health regulations.
Qualifications
- A degree or diploma in logistics, hospitality, or accounting.
- Experience as a store keeper in a hospitality environment.
- Basic knowledge of inventory software and Microsoft Excel.
- Understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
