Warehousing & Logistics Clerk – FMCG Industry
Location: Kisumu
The role involves overall warehouse support, maintaining proper inventory records, facilitating efficient picking, and supporting logistics planning and reporting. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in fast-paced FMCG warehousing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in daily supervision of order loading processes.
- Participate in daily and monthly physical stock-taking and reconciliation.
- Support logistics planning and route creation.
- Maintain SKU segregation and proper locator arrangement.
- Champion warehouse housekeeping and supervise order picking.
- Ensure FIFO/FEFO practices are followed.
- Collaborate with inventory officer on receiving and dispatch recording.
- Post production data and transfers using SAP.
- Verify delivery notes and forward them to accounts.
- Receive packaging materials and issue to departments.
- Maintain safety and security standards in the warehouse.
- Report incidents or challenges promptly.
- Train staff on warehouse SOPs.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma or Certificate in Logistics and Warehousing Management.
- 1–2 years’ experience in a similar role within the FMCG sector.
- Basic computer literacy and working experience with SAP.
- Good team player with excellent communication skills.
- Attention to detail and high integrity.
- Strong work ethic and accountability.
