🍞 Territory Sales Manager – Bread & Bakery Products (Kisumu)
Our client is a fast-growing bread manufacturer based in Kisumu. To expand their market footprint across Nyanza and Western Kenya, they are seeking a dynamic and experienced Territory Sales Manager to lead growth efforts, manage distributors, and drive product performance.
🧾 Key Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue Growth
- Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Drive product sales for bread, cakes, biscuits, and other bakery SKUs.
- Explore and exploit new market opportunities to expand reach.
Territory Management
- Design and execute sales strategies tailored to each region.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior.
- Enhance territory coverage via optimized route plans.
Distributor & Retailer Relations
- Recruit and manage distributors and stockists in the territory.
- Conduct routine visits and audits to ensure visibility and stock rotation.
- Manage order flows and follow up on receivables.
Team Leadership & Training
- Supervise and support a team of Sales Representatives.
- Offer training, mentorship, and real-time sales coaching.
Reporting & Analytics
- Compile and share sales reports, forecasts, and territory feedback.
- Provide data-driven recommendations for business growth.
✅ Desired Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- 4–6 years of FMCG sales experience, preferably in bakery/food sectors.
- Experience managing territories, distributors, and retail accounts.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
- Strong analytical and team management skills.
- Willing to travel extensively within assigned regions.
- Familiarity with regional languages and culture is an added advantage.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
