🎯 Job Purpose
The Branch Manager is responsible for leading the branch to meet performance metrics including business growth, cost control, customer experience, credit performance, and operational risk. This role ensures strong leadership and a high-performance culture at the branch level.
📌 Key Responsibilities
- Prospect for new business from existing and potential clients.
- Prepare detailed call reports and submit recommendations.
- Drive sales and overall branch performance.
- Monitor portfolio growth and track financial targets.
- Analyze local market drivers and recommend improvements.
- Ensure timely and accurate weekly performance and customer reports.
- Evaluate credit requests and submit findings for approval.
- Oversee collateral registration and loan documentation processes.
- Maintain asset quality by tracking arrears and excess drawings.
- Ensure excellent branch service levels and client satisfaction.
- Manage and motivate branch staff; promote compliance and high service standards.
📚 Job Specifications
Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Business, or a related field
Professional Qualifications
- Relevant banking or business qualification
- Membership in a recognized professional body is an added advantage
Work Experience
- 10+ years of relevant experience in banking or financial services
- Minimum 3 years in a managerial or supervisory position
