📝 Job Summary
Our client is looking for a polished, detail-oriented Receptionist to manage front desk operations, handle administrative tasks, and ensure a professional visitor experience at their Kisumu office. This is a dynamic role that blends customer service with high-level coordination across departments.
📋 Key Responsibilities
- Greet and guide visitors, confirm appointments, and issue visitor passes.
- Operate the switchboard: route calls, take messages, and liaise with internal teams.
- Track and manage all incoming/outgoing mail, packages, and courier records.
- Maintain a clean, branded, and professional reception area.
- Support access control by coordinating with security and maintaining visitor logs.
- Schedule and prepare logistics for internal meetings and bookings.
- Assist with photocopying, filing, data entry, and scanning of official documents.
- Replenish and manage front desk supplies and guest amenities.
- Verify and distribute received deliveries and office supplies.
- Support HR/admin with onboarding, bookings, and clerical functions as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and act professionally in all communications.
🎓 Qualifications and Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in a receptionist/front office role.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Kiswahili.
- Well-groomed, presentable, and professional.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Customer-oriented with a warm and helpful attitude.
- Capable of managing multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
