Job Summary:
The Housekeeper/Room Service Attendant is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for guests by performing daily cleaning duties and delivering room service orders promptly and professionally.
Key Responsibilities:
-Clean guest rooms, hallways, and common areas according to hotel standards.
-Make beds, change linens, and replace towels and other room amenities.
-Restock guest supplies like toiletries, water, and coffee/tea supplies.
-Handle room service food and beverage delivery requests courteously and promptly.
-Ensure guest rooms are neat, well-maintained, and ready for new arrivals.
-Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
-Follow health and safety regulations for cleaning chemicals and procedures.
-Manage laundry duties: collect, wash, fold, and distribute linens and uniforms (if applicable).
-Respect guest privacy and maintain confidentiality of guest information.
-Respond politely and efficiently to guest queries or service requests.
-Uphold the hotel’s reputation for cleanliness and customer service excellence.
Skills and Qualifications:
-High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
-Previous housekeeping or room service experience is an advantage but not required.
-Ability to work with minimal supervision.
-Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
-Good physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and move during shifts.
-Friendly and professional attitude.
-Basic communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus).
Work Conditions:
-May require standing and walking for long periods.
-Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs (about 9 kg).
-Flexible to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
