We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to support the finance operations of a scenic beach hotel on Lake Victoria.

🌴 About the Role:

You’ll gain hands-on experience in hotel accounting, guest billing, inventory reconciliation, and daily reporting. This role is ideal for recent diploma graduates ready to grow in hospitality finance.

🧾 Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Processing
  • Process invoices, receipts, and payments
  • Assist with accounts payable/receivable
  • Reconcile daily cash and credit card transactions
Financial Support
  • Maintain financial records and digital files
  • Assist in payroll preparation
  • Generate daily revenue summaries for rooms, F&B, and activities
Hotel-Specific Duties
  • Help track inventory for the beach bar and restaurant
  • Support rental reconciliation for watersport equipment
  • Assist guests with billing queries
Compliance Support
  • Prepare records for audits and taxes
  • Follow hotel financial procedures and filing systems

✅ Requirements:

Essential
  • Diploma in Accounting, Business, or related field
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Good written and spoken English and Swahili
Preferred (Not Mandatory)
  • 1 year of experience in accounting/admin role
  • Familiar with QuickBooks, Sage, or hotel accounting systems
  • Interest in hospitality finance or hotel operations
