About Us
United for Global Mental Health is dedicated to creating a world that enables good mental health for all. We work through policy, advocacy, and financing to raise the profile of mental health on political agendas and secure increased funding both globally and nationally.
We also founded and host the Global Mental Health Action Network – a coalition of over 6,000 individuals and organisations across 133 countries.
The Role
Key Responsibilities include:
- Social Media Content: Collaborate internally to create engaging visual/written content using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and AgoraPulse.
- Content Briefing: Write clear creative briefs for internal and external content production.
- Email Marketing: Draft and manage regular newsletters using Mailchimp.
- Website: Update and maintain WordPress and Squarespace content.
- Video & Audio: Produce short-form videos and podcasts.
- Social Channel Management: Manage and post on X, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Instagram. Oversee paid campaigns.
- Brand Guardian: Ensure visual and tone consistency across all outputs.
- Analytics: Produce reports with performance insights and improvement recommendations.
- Editorial Calendar: Maintain a clear communications schedule aligned with advocacy goals.
- Team Support: Help with project and meeting management, invoices, journalist lists, and general team support.
Requirements
- Experience using CMS platforms (WordPress/Squarespace), Mailchimp, and multiple social media platforms.
- Exceptional copywriting skills for diverse audiences.
- Detail-oriented with strong proofreading and research abilities.
- Highly organized, responsive, and deadline-driven.
- Administrative and CRM experience.
- Digital tools knowledge (e.g. Trello).
- Interest in mental health, advocacy, and international development.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Willing to travel internationally twice a year (or more if required).
Desirable Skills
- Background in advocacy/international NGO communications.
- Experience working with journalists and media outlets.
- Formal communication qualification or proven experience.
- Proficiency in languages beyond English is a plus.
