🚜 Job Opening: Wheelloader/Shovel Operator– KEDA Ceramics Kisumu
KEDA CERAMICS INTERNATIONAL COMPANY LTD is seeking to recruit a full-time Wheelloader/Shovel Operator & Dump Truck Driver for its operations in Miwani, Kisumu. We are looking for a safety-conscious and experienced equipment operator to support our crushing and transport operations at the plant.
📍 Job Location:
Miwani, Kisumu County
🛠️ Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate shovel to load raw materials into the crusher feeder.
- Maintain cleanliness of roads, silo paths, and push material to heaps.
- Daily inspection and light maintenance of shovel before use.
- Follow all plant safety guidelines (no overloading, use horn at intersections, reverse safely).
- Assist with driving dump trucks (Actros, Sinotruck, MAN) when needed.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by plant management.
✅ Qualifications & Skills Required:
- Age between 25–35 years.
- Certificate in plant/machine operation.
- Valid driving license (plant & commercial vehicles).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience operating a shovel or wheelloader.
- Ability to also drive dump trucks is an added advantage.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written).
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance, safety, and troubleshooting procedures.
