Job Summary
The Receptionist will serve as the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and staff, ensuring a professional and welcoming front office experience. This entry-level position is suitable for individuals with strong communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to handle administrative tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome visitors in a polite and professional manner.
- Answer, screen, and direct phone calls and emails.
- Maintain the reception area’s cleanliness and organization.
- Schedule and manage appointments, meetings, and conference room bookings.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and courier services.
- Maintain visitor logs and ensure proper security protocols are followed.
- Provide general administrative support such as filing, photocopying, and data entry.
- Assist in coordinating office supplies and stationery inventory.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum: KCSE Cert. Diploma or Certificate in Business Administration, Office Management, Front Office, or related field will be an added advantage.
- Previous experience in customer service or administrative roles is an added advantage (not mandatory).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Professional appearance and grooming.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Fluency in English and Kiswahili; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
