Branch Assistant – Victory Farms Kenya
About the Role
Victory Farms is looking for reliable and detail-oriented Branch Assistants to handle stock management, support sales operations, and maintain branch cleanliness. The role involves receiving and verifying stock, updating inventory records, assisting with order fulfillment, and ensuring smooth daily branch operations.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Receive Stock: Receive incoming stock deliveries, verify quantities, and ensure accurate documentation. Collaborate with the Regional Supervisor to inspect received goods for quality and compliance.
- Calculate Inventory Variances: Conduct regular stock counts, reconcile discrepancies, maintain accurate records of stock movements and report significant variances to the Regional Supervisor.
- Branch Maintenance: Ensure the branch is clean and orderly—arrange rotogals, drums, crates, displays and weighing scales to create a customer-friendly environment.
- Weigh Fish: Accurately weigh fish for client orders upon request from the Branch Captain and support timely service by the Branch Sales Team.
- Payment Verification: Verify payments for measured fish orders and record transactions on a separate sheet.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on inventory levels and operational issues; communicate with the Regional Supervisor and collaborate on solutions.
- Collaboration & Communication: Maintain positive relationships with colleagues and support a seamless flow of branch operations with the sales team.
- Adherence to Health Standards: Maintain health & safety compliance and follow company policies and procedures.
- Other Duties: Perform any other tasks assigned by the Sales Manager or Regional Supervisor to support branch functioning.
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma; certificate in Sales, Marketing or related field is an advantage.
- At least 1 year proven experience in sales, marketing or related operational roles.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong customer-service focus.
- Ability to build rapport and maintain long-term customer relationships.
- Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic inventory management tools.
- Organized, team-oriented and dependable.
