Data Analyst – African Climate Foundation (ACF)
Background:
The African Climate Foundation (ACF) is the first and only African-led climate change re-granting organisation on the continent. ACF supports interventions at the nexus of climate change and development through grant-making, research, technical assistance, and advocacy.
Purpose:
The Data Analyst will report to the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Manager and will play a key role in implementing ACF’s Strategic Framework (2025–2030). The role involves data collection, analysis, and visualisation to measure progress and ensure effective decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, collate, and analyse quantitative and qualitative data from stakeholders and grantees.
- Review and improve data collection formats and reporting processes.
- Input, clean, and migrate data into internal systems (GivingData).
- Develop high-quality analytical reports and visualisations.
- Support MEL framework implementation and data-driven decision-making.
Requirements:
- Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Data Management, or related field.
- 2–3 years’ professional experience in data analytics, data management, or visualisation.
- Proficiency in Excel, SPSS, Stata, R, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Strong analytical and organisational skills.
- Fluency in English (written & spoken).
Start Date: Position available immediately.
Location: Cape Town, South Africa (remote considered across Africa, with preference for Kenya).
