About R-SEAT
Refugees Seeking Equal Access at the Table (R-SEAT) is a leading global refugee-led organization (RLO) driving systemic change. We work to operationalize meaningful refugee participation as a tool to enhance the responses of the global refugee system.
Our Three Pillars:
1. Engage: Collaborate with strategic partners to establish refugee advisory mechanisms at national level.
2. Amplify: Shift the narrative surrounding RLOs and refugee leaders as critical partners.
3. Connect: Facilitate dynamic connections between refugees, RLOs, and other stakeholders.
The Role: Communications Lead
We're seeking a driven, tech-savvy, creative Communications Lead to work with our fast-moving international team. This remote position will platform and enhance R-SEAT's mission globally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create strategic, accessible, and visually engaging communications materials
- Support the refugee leadership ecosystem by elevating voices with lived experience
- Enhance narrative shifting through transformative stories and achievements
- Strategize advocacy using social media and communication channels
- Grow R-SEAT's communications presence across platforms
Requirements:
- Based in Mexico, Colombia, Lebanon, Syria, Kenya, or Uganda
- Passionate about refugee issues and skilled at building communities
- Strong sense of creativity and eye for design
- Technical skills in design platforms and mailing systems
- Fluent and professional communicator in English
- Ability to travel regionally (international travel preferred)
- Thrive in remote-work environment with flexibility
- Strong leadership skills, self-motivated, takes initiative
