Job Overview: IT Assistant
Location: Kisumu, Kenya
Organization: Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI)
Position: IT Assistant
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in regular hardware and software maintenance and configuration
- Installation and configuration of software
- Assist in data backups and data department related assigned tasks
- Troubleshooting PC malfunctions
- Offer technical consultation for inputs and recommendations for the study team
- Liaise with ICT Officer in resolving Internet downtime
- Offer support and training to new and existing staff on new requirements
- Ensure compliance with organizational ICT policy and government laws
- Assist in conducting CMEs to staff on emerging IT issues
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Diploma in Computer Science/Information Technology or relevant field (Mandatory)
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team (Mandatory)
- Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing (Mandatory)
- Flexibility and willingness to undertake other duties (Mandatory)
- Commitment to integrity and high-quality performance (Mandatory)
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team (Mandatory)
- Keen and attentive to detail (Mandatory)
