About the Position
This is the entry and training grade for Degree holders. An officer at this level will work under the supervision of a senior officer.
Job Specifications
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implementing environmental management plans
- Participating in environmental audits and following up implementation of recommendations
- Maintaining register on compliance to environmental legislation, proposing corrective actions
- Complying with occupational health and safety requirements
- Inspecting waste generation and disposal
- Complying with company's environment management policy and Occupational Safety Management policy
- Preparing reports and budget proposals
- Carrying out and interpreting effluent monitoring analysis
- Implementing environmental regulatory requirements
Person Specification
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science or equivalent from a recognized institution
- Proficiency in computer applications
- Fulfilled requirements of Chapter Six of the Kenyan Constitution
- Registered associate expert with NEMA
- Member of professional body (EIK) - added advantage

Additional Requirements

- Report from approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
