Human Resources Assistant – Rafode Ltd (Kisumu)

Purpose
The post holder is responsible for guiding and managing the overall provision of HR services, development and implementation of HR policies, and training programmes while promoting and implementing human resource values by planning and managing programmes and directing staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop organization strategies by identifying and researching human resources issues and contributing to strategic planning.
- Implement HR strategies including talent acquisition, compensation, training, benefits, and retention.
- Manage HR operations through recruitment, orientation, training, and performance monitoring.
- Develop financial strategies for HR operations and monitor resource allocation.
- Support management by providing HR advice, counsel, and decisions.
- Research, develop, and update policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and labor laws.
- Participate in professional development to maintain HR knowledge.
- Enhance organizational reputation through innovation and ownership of responsibilities.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Human Resource or Social Science from a recognized institution.
- Higher Diploma in HR Management from a recognized institution.
- IHRM Membership.
- Three (3) years relevant experience.
- Knowledge of labor laws, strong communication skills, integrity, and good organizational skills.
- Problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills.
