Position Overview
Role: Medical Laboratory Technician
Location: Kisumu, Kenya
Reporting to: Health Centre Manager
Deadline: 30th NOV 2025
Experience: Minimum 2 years in medical laboratory
Overall Purpose
Perform laboratory-based scientific medical investigations in order to provide accurate laboratory diagnosis and support quality healthcare delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Registration, collection and processing of client samples within the limits of specific tests
- Communication of laboratory results to healthcare providers
- Maintain high standards of quality laboratory practice using proper reagents and well-calibrated machines
- Ensure clean working environment and adherence to safety protocols
- Preparation of accurate laboratory reports
- Participation in internal quality control programmes and maintain appropriate registers
Position Requirements
- Diploma in Medical Laboratory Science
- Valid registration certificate from Kenya Medical Laboratory Technician and Technologist Board (KMLTTB)
- At least two (2) years of appropriate experience in medical laboratory functions
- ICT competency
- Excellent customer service skills
- Self-motivated and a team player
- Pleasant personality
