Job Purpose

The Clerical Officer will be responsible for handling general office duties, supporting efficient functioning of office administrative services, billing services, insurance, cash management, interpreting and implementing administrative policies and procedures, maintaining accurate records and statistics, ensuring safe custody of documents, and assisting in general office operations at JOOTRH.

Person Specifications & Requirements:

  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C- (Minus) or equivalent from recognized institution
  • Proficiency certificate for clerical officers
  • Certificate in any of the following disciplines:
    • Human Resource Management (HRM)
    • Business Administration
    • Kenya Accounts Technician Certificate (KATC)
    • Supply Chain Management
    • Kenya Administration and Management Examination (KAME)
    • Records Management or equivalent qualification
  • Proficiency in computer applications (MS Office Suite and data management systems)
  • At least one (1) year of relevant work experience in clerical/administrative support roles (added advantage)

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a busy hospital environment
  • Knowledge of public sector administrative procedures
