Job Description:

Green Wells Energies Ltd (GWEL) is an Oil Marketing and Distribution company based in Western Kenya. We seek to recruit an Assistant Operations Manager to support its Operations Department. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Operations Manager to run the day-to-day operations to meet customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fully support the Operations Manager in daily execution of operations tasks and projects
  • Assist in coordinating logistics plans and tracking of company vehicles
  • Liaise with management to ensure that all operational issues are addressed timely
  • Prepare periodic drivers' vehicle and route allocation plans
  • Monitor department expenditures and budget, appraising management on any shortfalls
  • Prepare and submit department reports as required
  • Prepare and coordinate department meetings and keep minutes
  • Ensure safe operations while minimizing risks through compliance with Occupational Safety and Health standards

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience in a busy operations environment
  • Oil and Gas industry experience will be an added advantage
  • Good understanding of automotive engineering with knowledge of automotive maintenance
  • Knowledge of heavy commercial trucks and 4X4 pick-ups maintenance
  • Strategic thinking and ability to negotiate complex agreements and mitigate risks
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools
  • Strong people management skills

Academic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering is desired
