Service Technician - CFAO Kenya (Kisumu)

Job Purpose: Service and repair of agricultural units to enhance customer satisfaction and achieve after‑sales targets. Ensure tractors operate efficiently and safely, minimising downtime and maximising productivity.

Main Responsibilities

Operational Responsibilities

  • Carry out repairs in the field and workshop according to CFAO Kenya guidelines
  • Disassemble and reassemble tractor components, ensuring proper functioning
  • Perform pre‑delivery inspection to verify all tractor systems work as required
  • Train tractor operators on safety, basic maintenance, and tractor settings
  • Diagnose mechanical failures and repair tractors per CNHI manuals and factory specifications
  • Use Electronic Service Tool (EST) to identify faults in MHP and HHP tractors
  • Conduct complex repairs including engine overhauls, hydraulic system, and transmission repairs
  • Ensure all repairs comply with EHS standards
  • Maintain detailed records in the DR book of all maintenance and repair work performed
  • Submit online technical reports in the CNHI dealer portal
  • Perform additional general repairs and inspections as assigned
  • Ensure accuracy of work orders by charging parts and labour to the proper segment
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area to 5S Standards

Internal: Sales Department, Parts Department
External: Parts and Service Customers

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Education: Degree in Agricultural Machinery / Mechanical Engineering.
Experience: Minimum 2 years working experience in a similar role.
